Ultimaps Dec'24 Release: Pins Support and Updates to Choropleth Maps

In our latest update for December 2024, we’re pleased to announce the addition of pins across all map types and several enhancements to Choropleth maps. Here’s a closer look at what’s new.

Pins support

We’ve introduced the ability to add pins to any map, allowing you to highlight specific locations easily. You can place pins by either:

  • Clicking directly on the map.
  • Entering coordinates or an address in the search bar.

Currently, importing pins from files isn’t available, but we’re working on a solution for that. You can enhance pins by adding labels and tooltips or popups for more detailed information.

Updates to Choropleth Maps

We’ve made several user-friendly updates to Choropleth maps to improve your experience:

  • You can now choose between a gradient or a discrete legend.
  • Set custom breaks for data representation.
  • Format numbers to include symbols like percentage signs or thousand separators.

Our improved parser will now better interpret your data and suggest optimal settings for a smoother setup process so potentially you won't have to worry about tweaking the settings at all.
